Account deletion & data rights
Leaving should be clear.
Start deletion in the app, understand its stages, and ask for your information.
Before you start
If you need copies, open More → Account & help → Privacy & account → Download my data. Complete any sign-in check, save every part and inspect the files. Generated is not saved: cancelled, permission denied, insufficient space, failed and unconfirmed are not confirmed delivery. Export is optional, not a condition for exercising rights.
Check local work has synced. Server-side deletion cannot promise removal from every offline device, exported file or recipient’s copy. Cancel your subscription separately in Apple subscription settings if you do not want renewal.
Delete in the app
- Open More → Account & help → Privacy & account.
- Choose Delete my account.
- Complete the identity or recent Sign in with Apple check.
- Read the consequences and give final confirmation. Preparing a request is not confirmation.
- Read the result and keep its reference if help is needed; closing the screen does not prove completion.
This is in-app initiation, not an instruction to email instead. Preparation can be cancelled before confirmation. Once confirmed processing starts, do not assume it can be undone.
What the status means
- Prepared
- Ready for your confirmation; deletion has not completed.
- Processing
- Closure and eligible removal steps are running, not complete.
- Review required
- The account may be closed to ordinary use while specific retained or unresolved records need safe review. This is not completed erasure.
- Completed
- The defined workflow has completed its approved steps. It does not recall exports or recipient copies or claim universal third-party erasure.
- Cannot safely continue / failed
- A step could not finish safely. Follow the instruction or contact privacy support; do not treat failure as success.
What may need review
Eligible ordinary profile, settings and working records are assessed for removal. Specific final invoices, signed evidence, transaction records, provider-permission evidence, legal holds, disputes and unresolved processing may require restricted review against a purpose or obligation. We distinguish our controller records from customer-controlled work data.
No universal six-year period applies to all data. No instant backup purge or invented deletion deadline is promised. Retention must be justified by category, need and obligations, reviewed regularly, and end with its justified purpose. A technical hold alone is not a legal basis for indefinite retention. See retention criteria and data-processing terms.
If you cannot access the app
Email privacy@tradesmanflow.co.uk for deletion, access, correction, restriction, portability or objection where applicable. Explain the access problem without passwords or codes. We may request a proportionate identity check through a safe route before disclosing or changing personal information.
Requests are normally answered within one calendar month, subject to lawful extensions or exceptions explained to you. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Automated tools do not reduce statutory rights.
